Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton College women's soccer was a 4-1 winner against UW-Whitewater on Friday night in a Sectional Semifinal contest of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament.
Wheaton advances to host the Sectional Final on Saturday night at 5 PM at Joe Bean Stadium. The Thunder will face Washington University-St. Louis, a 2-1 winner on Friday against College of St. Benedict. The Sectional Final can be seen live on
www.wetn.org. The winner on Saturday will participate in a NCAA Division III Women's Soccer National Semifinal on December 2 in San Antonio, Texas.

Katelyn Kishkunas cross was headed by senior
Jaime Orewiler (PICTURED RIGHT) to Seabolt who headed the ball in past Warhawks' goalkeeper Jordan Myers who came out of the net on Orewiler's header. Wheaton increased its lead to 2-0 at the 29:04 mark of the match Orewiler settled the ball on a cross and blasted it in from six yards out. Her goal was assisted by
Val Lelle and
Sarah Guidera. Wheaton held a 3-0 lead at halftime as Seabolt netted her 12
th goal of the year at the 37:19 mark of the match. Wheaton moved the ball down field and a pass from
Keri Shannon on the right side came to Seabolt who slipped the ball past Myers.
Wheaton increased its lead to 4-0 at the 54:26 mark of the match when Seabolt got behind the Warhawks' defense and sent a pass from the left side of the 18-yard box to
Ali Kopelman, who put it into the net from 15 yards out. UW-Whitewater reached the scoreboard at the 56:56 mark of the match when Jessica Allemang put the ball into the net on an assist from Emily Gerber.
The Warhawks out-shot the Thunder 11-10, with a 7-6 edge in corner kicks for UW-Whitewater. Wheaton freshman
Kelsey Graham started the match for the Thunder, making two saves with no goals allowed in 57 minutes.
Hilary Barreto made two saves and allowed one goal in working the final 33 minutes of the match for the hosts. Myers allowed four goals and made three saves in the Warhawks' net.
