BOXSCORE

Greencastle, Ind.
– The Wheaton College women's soccer team was a 5-1 winner at DePauw University on Tuesday night. In the victory, Thunder All-American Taryne Lee tied one school record and set another new mark. Lee scored two goals in the victory to give her 82 career goals, tying her with Rebecca Mouw (1999-02) for Wheaton's all-time goals record. Tonight's effort now gives her 204 career points to surpass Mouw's previous school record of 200 career total points.

Head coach Pete Felske noted after the game, “She scored two sweet goals, so not only did she set a record, but she did it in style.” Felske added, “Taryne is so unselfish, she doesn't look to break records. She goes about her business to help the team in any way that she can.”

Lee gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead just 2:02 into the contest on a breakaway goal. Her second goal of the night came less than two minutes later when she scored at the 3:52 mark of the match, off of a Brittany Bergh assist. Sophomore Katelyn Kishkunas scored an unassisted goal at 21:24 to give the Thunder a 3-0 lead. Wheaton held its 3-0 lead for the remainder of the first half.

DePauw's lone goal of the match came at the 76:38 mark of the contest when Alexandra Ehr scored at 76:38 off an Emelie Johansson assist. Wheaton freshman Val Lelle put the ball into the back of the net at 86:22 to account for the 5-1 final score.
