Wheaton men's soccer falls 2-1 at Calvin

- The Wheaton College men's soccer team lost 2-1 at Calvin College on Friday.

The Thunder fell to 2-2-0 while the Knights improved to 2-1-0. It marked Calvin's first win against Wheaton since 1992.

Wheaton's defense was tested right away as Calvin scored in the fourth minute on a double assist and netted another goal at 14:10. 

Drew Golz earned his second goal of the season at 35:28 in the first half on an assist by Hudson Stern. But Wheaton's offense was stymied the rest of the way, as the Knights held a 12-7 shot advantage in the game. 

Kit Carson took the loss in goal, making six saves with two goals allowed. Calvin's Jared Rushlau made one save with one goal allowed to get the win.

The Thunder continue their weekend in Michigan with a 2:00 PM game at Hope College.
