Q: What is your major?
A:
Spanish and Business/Economics.

Q: Why did you choose to attend Wheaton and play tennis?
A:
I came to Wheaton because the college has three major areas that I was looking for: a good education, a strong tennis program, and a Christ-centered community. When I came to visit, I was amazed by the quality people and fun-loving environment that I am honored to call my school!

Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton?
A:
I know that everyone says this, but it is simply so true - I love the people at Wheaton College! I am so blessed to live in a community that is fully striving towards Christ. I have really enjoyed getting to know people in a place where we can challenge, grow, love, and laugh with each other, both on and off the tennis court.

Q: What is your favorite tennis memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
A:
There are so many great memories, but one of the best was when we won the CCIW automatic qualifier tournament at the end of this year. At the start of the finals against Carthage, we lost all three doubles matches but then came back to win the six singles matches! Although it was a nail-biting way to win, I thought that it showed our confidence and determination.

Q: What’s it like to play for Coach Nelson?
A:
All I can say is...WOW. It is absolutely wonderful to play for Coach Nelson! Jane is the best for so many reasons, which include her organizational skills, dedication to the tennis program, obvious desire to follow Christ, and overall wisdom both on and off the tennis court. She is such a blessing in my life!

Q: The women’s tennis team has now made the NCAA Tournament five-straight years. What do you think is the key to the team’s consistent success?
A:
Well, besides the fact that our coach is Jane Nelson, I think the key to success is our determination at practice. We come out to practice hard each day, and that shows in the way we play our matches. Also, our motivation to bring God glory allows us to celebrate the gifts that He has given us with humility and joy!
