Two-time All-American Tim McCrary is a team captain for the Thunder men's basketball team this season. Below is a brief interview with Tim.

Q: What is your major?
A: Business/Economics

Q: What (if any) plans do you have after graduation?
A: I am getting married to Sarah McWilliams ('12 grad an member of volleyball team). We are currently praying and thinking about what God wants to do after we graduate. Maybe stay in Chicago, maybe try and make it as a professional basketball player abroad.

Q: Why did you choose to attend Wheaton and play basketball?
A: I loved the community at Wheaton. In high school, I had very few Christian friends and felt a serious void in my life. I wanted to experience Christian community and Wheaton has provided that experience. I decided to play basketball because I love the game, and did not want to stop. The guys on Wheaton's team shared a commitment to each other that I had never seen. Not only were they very talented, but they worked together and supported one another. I was very attracted to this environment.

Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton?
A: The people. It is a common answer, but it's the truth. My classmates, teammates, professors, and coaches have all made a significant impact on my walk with Christ, and I am very thankful for these relationships. Most of all, I have been blessed to meet my future wife, and my relationship with her is something I'll enjoy for the rest of my life, Lord willing.

Q: What is your favorite basketball memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
A:
There are so many, but beating Augie in Rock Island my freshman year and beating Carthage in Kenosha last year are my two favorite. Both of these games were essentially must wins, and were on the road. I loved the way we responded in both situations, and both wins allowed us to ultimately make post season play, especially my freshman year when we made a run in the NCAA tournament.
