Wheaton College Athletics

Wheaton senior Brittany Bergh is a member of the Wheaton women's soccer team, helping lead the team to a NCAA Division III Championship as a freshman in 2007. Brittany earned All-CCIW honors as a junior in 2009 and was an All-Tournament selection at the 2008 NCAA Division III Championships, helping Wheaton to National Runner-Up honors. Below is a brief interview with the Wheaton senior.

Q: What is your major?
A: Psychology

Q: Why did you choose to attend and play soccer at Wheaton?
A: I wanted to be in an environment that challenged me academically, spiritually and athletically. Wheaton has done a wonderful job at strengthening me in all three of these areas. I also loved the Christian community I saw at Wheaton and really thought it would be a great place to be encouraged and challenged in my walk with the Lord.

Q: What do you appreciate about playing for Pete Felske?
A: Pete does a wonderful job at making sure that our priority both on and off the soccer field is to glorify Christ in all that we do. At the same time he pushes us to be extremely competitive, determined and hardworking as a team. I love being able to have a coach who challenges me in my walk with the Lord as well as becoming a better soccer player.

Q: What is your favorite soccer memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
A: Winning the national championship my freshman year was one of the most amazing experiences and a memory I will never forget.

Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton off of the field?
A: I have been truly blessed by the relationships I have developed at Wheaton. Not only am I close to the soccer girls and other students but the professors do a wonderful job at making themselves available to the student body outside of class. My faith has been challenged and encouraged by so many different people within the Wheaton community.
