Kelly Vazquez was named the head women's golf coach at Wheaton in October of 2025, and the 2026-27 campaign will mark her first full season in charge of the Thunder program.
Dr. Vazquez previously served as the assistant coach for the Wheaton women's golf team during their 2025 fall season. She competed for four years as a member of the women's golf team at nearby North Central College, where she developed a deep understanding of the game and demonstrated leadership as the team's varsity captain. She was named to the CCIW Academic All-Conference Team three-consecutive seasons, beginning in 2014. She was also named to the National Women's Golf Coaches Association (NWGCA) All-American Scholar Team in those same years. In recognition of her outstanding leadership and service, Vazquez received the North Central College Servant Leadership Award in 2016.
In addition to her role as head women's golf coach, Dr. Vazquez is a member of the faculty at Wheaton College. She joined the faculty at Wheaton as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Engineering in Fall of 2023.
