Mark Savenok is in his fourth year as an assistant coach for the Thunder wrestling program in 2018-19. Savenok, a four-year letterwinner on the mat, graduated from Wheaton in 2015. In four years with the Thunder, Savenok compiled a career record of 113-27.

Savenok finished seventh in the 157-pound weight class at the Division III Championships in 2013-14 and also qualified for Nationals as a senior in 2014-15. He won three CCIW Championships in his tenure with titles at 157-pounds in his sophomore and junior seasons and a conference championship at 149- as a senior.
