Kelly Thornton joins the Thunder volleyball coaching staff for her first season in the 2020-21 school year. A 2019 Wheaton alumna with a degree in Mathematics, Thornton appeared in 111 career matches in her four years in the orange and blue. She finished her career ranked 10th in program history with 1,983 career assists and 11th in program history with 5.007 assists per set. Thornton was named to the All-Tournament Team at the DePauw Invitational as a junior and earned CCIW Player of the Week honors in her senior season. She also played a year of basketball and four years of softball, earning All-Region honors for the Thunder softball program.
