Haley Horner joined the Wheaton volleyball program as an assistant coach in the summer of 2023. Horner was a two-year starter at Wittenberg University between 2017-2018 before she transferred to Carthage College, where she played three seasons of volleyball before graduating in December 2021 with a degree in geographic information systems.
Horner helped Wittenberg reach the Division III National Championship match in 2017, where they finished as the National Runners-Up. She also made a Sweet Sixteen appearance with Wittenberg in 2018. Her time at Carthage was equally successful, as she was a member of the CCIW Championship-winning Firebirds squad in 2019 and helped her team advance to the National Semifinal.
Horner received NCAA All-North Coast Athletic Conference recognition in her second season at Wittenberg before collecting multiple honors as an upperclassman at Carthage.
She earned 2019 AVCA DIII Honorable Mention All-American status and was named to the AVCA All-Midwest Region Team and All-CCIW First Team in the same year. In 2021, Horner
was once again named an AVCA DIII Honorable Mention All-American, as well as earning inclusion on the AVCA All-Region 8 First Team and All-CCIW First Team.
Her 2021 season stat of 482 kills ranks fourth all-time at Carthage for single-season kills, and she finished 15th all-time at Carthage for career blocks (74) and 16th all-time for career kills (1,019).
Horner currently works full-time in Wheaton at Fairhaven Wealth Management.
