Doug Porter rejoins the Thunder women's basketball coaching staff for the 2018-19 season to lead the Thunder forwards and centers. Porter started his coaching career as an assistant coach under Beth Baker from 1986-1989. Porter spent the next two seasons as the head coach at Aurora University before a successful 14-year stint as the head coach at Olivet Nazarene University. In his 16 seasons as a head coach, Porter tallied 312 career wins and seven conference titles. Most recently, Porter served as an assistant coach at North Central College. Doug ('77) and his wife Pam ('78) are both Wheaton alumni and reside in West Chicago.
