Melissa Martineck

Melissa Martineck enters her first season as an assistant coach of the Wheaton softball team. She previously served on staff at Trinity Christian College working primarily with catchers and outfielders. Martineck and the rest of Fazzari’s staff led the 2023 Trinity Christian College squad to the program's first winning season since 1992 and advanced to the Final of the 2023 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Softball World Series for the first time in program history.

During the softball offseason, Martineck served as the Head Bowling Coach at Dominican University for the 2022-2023 season. Martineck brings playing experience in both sports from her time at Lindenwood-Belleville. Martineck was a four-year member of the softball program, serving as a catcher and outfielder.

Martineck coached at the travel ball level for over eight years, particularly with the New Lenox Lightning program. Martineck plays a huge role in the recruiting efforts at Wheaton College while managing her time as a travel MRI Technologist.
