Brittany Murphy

Brittany Murphy enters her first season as an assistant coach of the Wheaton softball team. She recently served as a private softball instructor and coach at Trinity Christian College while enrolled at Midwestern University’s physical therapy program.

A four-year letterwinner for the Illinois Wesleyan Titans, Murphy competed at the NCAA National Championships every year and contributed to the teams’ consistent national rankings. In Murphy’s playing career, the Titans placed fifth in the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships, second in 2018, and fifth in 2017.

Murphy was a key contributor in the outfield and led the Titans in her junior year with hits, second-most doubles, and runs batted in. Her senior season was cut short after 10 games due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Murphy currently serves as the Thunder’s strength and conditioning instructor. Murphy is additionally employed at a local pediatric clinic as a physical therapist.
