The 2026 season will be Wyatt Lee's fifth as an assistant coach for the Thunder football program after graduating from Wheaton in the spring of 2022. Lee was promoted to a full-time defensive coaching position following the 2023 campaign and served as the Special Teams Coordinator and linebackers coach for two seasons. He was promoted again to the role of Offensive Coordinator in the spring of 2026.
Lee played two years of football at Wheaton College as a linebacker after transferring from Lawrence University. As a senior, he served as a team captain in 2021, helping steer a Wheaton defense that led Division III in sacks and was second in rushing defense. At the conclusion of the 2021 season, Lee received the program's James Parmalee "Most Respected Player Award".
2021: Third Team All-Region honoree, Second Team All-Conference honoree
2019: First season with the Thunder after transferring from Lawrence University, Second Team All-CCIW selection...started all 13 games, recording 66 tackles with 13 tackles for loss, four sacks, one forced fumble and one pass break-up...had a season high eight tackles with three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in a Second Round win over Central on Nov. 30...had a forced fumble and six tackles in a win over North Central on Oct. 5...had eight tackles with two for loss and 1.5 sacks in a win over WashU on Oct. 19.
Previous School: Division III leader in tackles per game and solo tackles per game, registered 179 tackles in ten appearances, earned All-Midwest Conference honors
