JJ Clark

JJ Clark ('11) is entering his fourth season as a part of the Wheaton Thunder coaching staff in 2018. The 2018 season will mark his second as the defensive coordinator. He will also continue to serve as the linebackers coach.  In his first year as defensive coordinator, Clark's unit ranked fourth in Division III, surrendering just 229.1 yards per game and ranked seventh in rushing defense, allowing only 73 yards per game. Wheaton's 12.8 points allowed per game was 10th best in Division III.

Previously, JJ spent two seasons as a part of the University of Akron Coaching staff, where he worked with the Zip’s Linebackers and Defensive Backs.

Clark was a standout Tight End for the Thunder from 2008-2011, helping lead the program to a 36-10 overall record during that span. A span that  included  Final Four and Sweet 16 appearances in the NCAA playoffs.  JJ was also voted to the 2011 Capitol One Academic All-American Team.
