Lindsey was an All-Conference and All-Region selection at Morrison High School. Following his graduation from Morrison in 2007, Lindsey played two seasons for the Thunder, appearing in 15 games as an outfielder.

Lindsey previously served for five years as the manager for the 16-and-under White Rock Dragons. He currently serves as the head coach for the 16-and-under Wheaton Post 76 Thunder Jr. Legion travel team, leading the Thunder to a third place finish at the Illinois Junior Legion State Tournament in 2018.

He is in his eighth year as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Wheaton. Lindsey also serves as the Broadcast Coordinator for the Wheaton Thunder Sports Network.

A native of Morrison, Illinois, Lindsey returned to Wheaton following an internship with WSCR 670 The Score in Chicago. He continues to serve as the "Voice of the Thunder" for Wheaton football games and various other Thunder sports, as he has since 2009. Lindsey has broadcast NCAA-III National Championship games in two sports, including broadcasting the 2011 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Final Four for D3Hoops.com.
