Matt Millar enters his second year as as assistant coach in the 2016 season. He will primarily work with the Thunder catchers.

Millar played four seasons of baseball at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as he was a member of the Warhawks in the 2005-06 seasons and again in 2008-09.He earned a Bachelor's Degree from UW-Whitewater in General Business and holds a Master's Degree from there in Business Management.

A native of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Millar was a member of the Warhawks' 2005 NCAA Division III National Championship team and also on the UW-Whitewater squad that finished third in Division III in 2008. A team captain in 2009, Millar led the Warhawks that season with a .316 batting average (24-76) and also posted a team-best .424 on-base percentage as a catcher for the NCAA Tournament team. During his four seasons with UW-Whitewater, Millar played in 50 career games, with a .291 (30-103) career batting average
