2021-2022 SPECTATOR POLICY - UPDATED FEBRUARY 17, 2022
Effective February 17th, 2022, all attendance limits for home sporting events are lifted. Tickets for Saturday's basketball games are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children under the age of 18. Admission is free for Wheaton students with a current student ID, Wheaton faculty and staff, and Wheaton season pass holders. All spectators are still required to wear a face covering when attending indoor sporting events.
This policy update remains subject to change depending on official Wheaton College COVID-19 guidelines.
2021-2022 SPECTATOR POLICY - UPDATED FEBRUARY 1, 2022
Effective February 1st, 2022, all Wheaton Athletics season pass holders will be allowed to attend sporting events on campus. Season pass holders will not be included in the capacity limit for students, faculty and staff. Additionally the cap for student attendees is now at 300.
The changes to our spectator policy will be reviewed throughout the semester.
2021-2022 SPECTATOR POLICY - UPDATED JANUARY 21, 2022
Effective January 22, 2022, student-athletes from both the host team and visiting team are permitted to select up to four non-student guests to attend each sporting event at Wheaton. These guests will be provided to the Wheaton game staff via a pass list prior to the event.
Additionally, The Wheaton College athletic department is pleased to announce that a limited number of spectators from within the campus community (current students, faculty, and staff) will be allowed to attend sporting events. The capacity limit for this group is currently set at 250 spectators for men’s and women’s basketball games and 50 spectators for swim meets.
PLEASE NOTE: These changes do not impact the
Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational on Jan. 28-29, as no spectators will be permitted for that event, including home spectators.

2021-2022 SPECTATOR POLICY (Posted Aug. 16, 2021)
We are excited to welcome fans back to campus to watch the Wheaton Thunder in action! Before coming to campus, please note the spectator policy as outlined below. These protocols are a combination of CCIW policy as well as Wheaton College campus policy and local health guidance and is subject to change.
For Outdoor Events:
- Face coverings are not required at outdoor contests.
- All spectators must be at least 15 feet away from all student-athletes before, during and after all contests.
- Any contact with student-athletes after a competition, must occur in an area away from the other team.
- When using the bathroom or entering into any other campus building, you must wear a face covering.
- Any spectator removed from a venue for failure to follow the host institution's COVID-19 protocols could be banned from CCIW competitions for the remainder of the 2021-22 year.
For Indoor Events:
- Regardless of vaccination status, spectators at indoor contests are required to wear a face covering.
- All spectators must be at least 15 feet away from all student-athletes before, during and after all contests.
- Any contact with student-athletes after a competition, must occur outside the competition venue.
- Any spectator removed from a venue for failure to follow the host institution's COVID-19 protocols could be banned from CCIW competitions for the remainder of the 2021-22 year.
