1956-57 MEN’S BASKETBALL
  • Won the first NCAA College Division Championship with a 28-1 overall record, tied for the most wins in school history
  • 14-0 in CCI play, winning Wheaton’s second-consecutive conference title
  • Freshman Mel Peterson was named the MVP of the NCAA College Division Championship
 
2009 BASEBALL
  • Posted 23 wins, a school record at the time
  • First Wheaton baseball team in history to reach the championship round of the CCIW Tournament
  • Squad included two players that earned All-America recognition in their career and four players earned 2009 All-Region honors.

 2006 MEN’S SOCCER
  • 16-8-4 overall record, finished the season as the NCAA Division III Runner-up and ranked second in Division III
  • Won the 2006 CCIW Tournament to earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where it advanced to the Division III Championship
  • Stephen Rigby was named the CCIW Player of the Year and earned All-America recognition
1995-96 MEN’S BASKETBALL
  • 25-2 overall record and Ranked No. 1 in Division III during the regular season as the team advanced to Division III Tournament Second Round
  • Won Wheaton’s first CCIW Championship in 37 years with a 13-1 conference record
  • Wesley Pitts was CCIW Player of the Year and an All-American

 1985 MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
  • Placed fourth at the NCAA Division III Championships
  • Tod Moxley and Chris Wilson were both top-10 finishers at the Division III Championships, earning All-American recognition
  • Chris Wilson finished first at the CCIW Championships, just the second Wheaton Individual to win the CCIW individual title
 2014-15 WRESTLING
  • Won the CCIW Championship for the first time in 34 years; Dan Olsen named CCIW’s Most Outstanding Wrestler
  • Team produced four national qualifiers: Carlos Fuentez, Mark Savenok, Stephen Aiello and Dan Olsen as Olsen placed third at Nationals
  • Six members of this squad earned All-America honors in their career
1989-90 MEN’S SWIMMING
  • Placed third at the 1990 NCAA Division III Swimming Championships
  • CCIW Champions, winning 13 of the 18 events at the 1990 CCIW Championships
  • Team set 11 records that season
2012 MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
  • Placed ninth at the NCAA Division III Championships
  • Jake Waterman (21st) and James Waterman (31st) finished in the top-35 at the Division III Championships to earn All-American recognition
  • Jake Waterman, James Waterman and Mark Phillips earned All-Region honors

1999 MEN’S SOCCER
  • 19-3-2 overall record, finishing the season as the NCAA Division III Runner-up and ranked third in Division III
  • Eric Brown and Rob Mouw earned Division III All-America recognition
  • Wheaton won the CCIW with a 6-0 record and Eric Brown and Rob Mouw were named the Co-CCIW Player of the Year 
1958 FOOTBALL
  • Produced the first undefeated record by a Wheaton football team in school history with an 8-0 overall record
  • Won the CCI with a 7-0 record and out-scored opponents 357-70 that season
  • Bob Bakke and Dick Plaep earned All-America recognition
2003 FOOTBALL
  • 12-1 overall record and recorded the first 10-0 regular season record in program history, finishing the year ranked sixth by D3football.com
  • First Wheaton football team to appear in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Playoffs
  • Quarterback Chad Bradley was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Year as offensive linemen James Hoxworth and Chris DuBos, and running back Dan Price earned All-American recognition
1990 MEN’S SOCCER
  • Posted a 20-3-0 overall record
  • Advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament Semifinal for the second time in program history
  • Won the CCIW with a 5-0 record and Phil Wolf was named the CCIW Player of the Year
 1980-81 WRESTLING
  • Won the CCIW Championship for the fifth time in program history
  • Brett Stamm and Scott Torppey were named Co-CCIW Most Outstanding Wrestler
  • Five national qualifiers to 1981 Division III Championships and produced three All-Americans: Brett Stamm (4th); Kai Togami (5th) and Paul Lancaster (6th)
2002-03 MEN’S SWIMMING
  • Placed sixth at the 2003 NCAA Division Men’s Swimming Championships
  • Won the CCIW Championship, finishing ahead of the second place team by 300 points
  • Team set 12 varsity records


1955-56 MEN’S BASKETBALL
  • 27-4 overall record and placed fourth at the NAIA National Tournament
  • 14-0 record in CCI play, winning Wheaton’s second conference championship
  • Jerry Truax was a First Team All-American
 
1951 BASEBALL
  • Won Wheaton’s first and only conference Championship in baseball, with a 7-1 record in CCI play
  • Defeated Northern Illinois the IICC Champion with a 6-3 victory against the Huskies.
 LEE PFUND REGION 
1984 MEN’S SOCCER
  • 21-1-2 overall record won the Wheaton men’s soccer program’s first Division III Championship
  • Out-scored opponents 8-2 in the Division III Playoffs, including a 2-1 victory in three overtimes against Brandeis in the National Championship Match
  • Andrew Taylor and Dave Kouwe were named All-Americans in 1984 and squad included Tim Daniels, Dave Wolf and Chris Hagemann in other seasons
1952 MEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
  • Won the CCI Outdoor Track & Field Championship, the fifth of seven-consecutive conference titles
  • Won the Elmhurst Relays
  • All-American Kikuo “Cookie” Moriya was a key participant on this team
 2016 FOOTBALL
  • 11-2 overall record and was ranked eighth in the final D3football.com Top-25 poll.
  • Advanced to the National Quarterfinal for the third time in program history
  • Caleb Ashby (LB) named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year and is joined as an All-American by Zach Lindquist (TE) , Peter Gibson (OL); Kyler Kregel (OL) and Chase Greenlee (DL).
 2018-19 MEN’S BASKETBALL
  • 23-9 overall record
  • Advanced to the National Semifinal of the Division III Tournament, Wheaton’s first “Final Four” appearance since joining Division III in 1974-75
  • Aston Francis named CCIW Player of the Year, D3Hoops.com Player of the Year, Jostens Trophy winner and Bevo Francis Award winner
 1990-91 MEN’S SWIMMING
  • Placed fourth at the 1991 NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming Championships
  • CCIW Champions
  • Five individuals placed in the top six in at least one event at Nationals and the total number of All-Americans in 1991 is still the most in one year and the team set seven Wheaton varsity records that season.
 1995 FOOTBALL
  • 10-1 overall record and advance to NCAA Playoffs’ Second Round
  • Was 7-0 in CCIW play and won Wheaton’s first CCIW Championship in 36 years, Jeff Brown was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Year
  • Jeff Brown (QB), Mark Loeffler (WR) and Chip Parrish (LB) each earned All-American recognition
 2019 FOOTBALL
  • 12-1 overall record, with a 10-0 regular season record and 9-0 CCIW record to win the conference title
  • Finished the year ranked fifth in Division III, Advanced to NCAA Playoffs Quarterfinal and led Division III in total defense and scoring defense
  • Dallas McRae was named CCIW Defensive Player of the Year and D3football.com Defensive Player of the Year and was joined as an All-American by: Jake Hibben, Spencer Rowland, Ryan Schwartz and Patrick O’Connell
 2005 MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
  • Completed the season in 13th place at the NCAA Division III Championships
  • Second place at the CCIW Championships, just two points from snapping North Central’s 33-year streak of CCIW Championships
  • Matt Field and Brandon Mull finished in the top-65 at the Division III Championships
     
HARVE CHROUSER REGION 
1997 MEN’S SOCCER
  • 24-0-1 overall record and won the second NCAA Division III Championship in program history
  • The undefeated season helped move Wheaton’s streak of consecutive matches without a loss, later becoming a NCAA record at 66 matches.
  • Won the CCIW with a 6-0 record as Scott Brown was named the CCIW Player of the Year; and Rob Mouw and Eric Brown earned All-American recognition
 1990-91 MEN’S TENNIS
  • CCIW Champions that finished the season ranked 15th in Division III
  • Dan Lindquist won the third of his four CCIW Player of the Year awards, and finished the season ranked 36th in Division III.
  • Dan Lindquist and Andy Isch were ranked 10th in Division III in doubles competition
 1986 MEN’S TENNIS
  • Finished the season ranked 14th in Division III
  • CCIW Champions as Jon Burnham won the first of his two CCIW Player of the Year awards
  • Jon Burnham finished the year ranked fifth in Division III in singles and he Russ Poleander were ranked 11th in doubles as Burnham was a singles All-American and Burnham/Poleander earned doubles All-American recognition
2008 FOOTBALL
  • 11-3 overall record, ranked fifth in the final D3football.com poll of the season.
  • Advanced to National Semifinals of the Division III Playoffs for the only time in program history
  • Pete Ittersagen (CB/RET), the D3football.com North Region Defensive Player of the Year, and Jesse Scott (OL) earned All-America recognition

 2008-09 MEN’S BASKETBALL
  • 26-4 overall record, advanced to Division III “Sweet 16” and ranked No. 1 in Division III during the regular season
  • Won Wheaton’s first CCIW Championship in 10 years with an 11-3 conference record
  • Kent Raymond was CCIW Player of the Year, All-American and DIIINews D3 Player of the Year
 1961 FOOTBALL
  • Compiled an 8-0 overall record, only the second undefeated record in program history at the time
  • Out-scored opponents 217-37 on the season, with three shutouts
  • All-American tackle Dave Kemna played both offense and defense
 2014 MEN’S SOCCER
  • 22-4 overall record, finished the season as the NCAA Division III Runner-up and ranked second in D3; with 22 wins - the second-highest single-season total in program history
  • Won the 2014 CCIW Championship and Marshall Hollingsworth was named the CCIW Player of the Year
  • Marshall Hollingsworth, Elliot Borge and Stephen Golz each earned All-American recognition for the Thunder
 2011-12 MEN’S BASKETBALL
  • 23-7 overall record
  • Advanced to Division III “Sweet 16”
  • Tim McCrary named CCIW Player of the Year, D3 Midwest Region Player of the Year and Division III All-American
