Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton junior Aiden Byrne has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week as a special teams performer. 

Byrne had the key blocked PAT attempt in Saturday's 24-23 victory against No.3 Mount Union to propel Wheaton to its first-ever win against the Purple Raiders. His PAT block came with 22 seconds left in the fourth quarter and prevented the guests from tying the game as Wheaton recovered the onside kick and secured the win.

Byrne is coming off a sophomore season in 2025 that saw him earn Third Team All-America honors at guard from D3football.com.

The No. 2 ranked Thunder travel to Albion College this Saturday to take on the Britons at 12:00 p.m. (EDT)
