Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton senior Seth Kortenhoeven has been named a CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in football for his efforts on special teams in Wheaton's 28-7 victory at Illinois Wesleyan last Saturday. This is the third weekly accolade from the conference for the Thunder this season, and the second for Kortenhoeven. This marks the second career CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week award for Kortenhoeven who also earned the special teams award on September 14.

Kortenhoeven had the first touchdown of the game on Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan as he returned an IWU punt 56 yards for a touchdown. The touchdown return was one of two punt returns on the day for Kortenhoeven who averaged 29.5 yards per return for the day. The touchdown return was his second of the season as he is just one of two players in Division III to return two punts for a touchdown this year, leading the nation in the category. Kortenhoeven's season average of 25.9 yards per punt return ranks third in Division III and his 233 total punt return yards leads D3 by nearly 46 yards.

Second-ranked Wheaton hosts North Park on Saturday for Wheaton's annual Homecoming game. The matchup against the Vikings kicks of at 1:00 p.m.
