Joliet, Ill. – The Wheaton men's and women's track and field teams sent members to the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite this weekend. The event was a "last chance meet" as competitors participated with the purpose of qualifying for the upcoming national championships.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Among the men's competitors for Wheaton, sophomore high jumper
Ty Bova finished third in the event. He cleared a height of 2.00 meters (6' 6-3/4").
Thunder junior
Isaac Bledsoe registered a time of 10.77-seconds to finish sixth in the finals of the men's 100-meter dash.
The men's 4X100-meter relay team of
Dan Sanoussi,
Isaac Bledsoe, Joey Rosenthal and
Aidan Langan posted a time of 41.97-seconds in fifth place.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Junior Heidi Krekelberg finished third in the finals of the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.09-seconds.
Junior Grace Crowder cleared a height of 1.61-meters (5' 3-1/4") to finish fourth in women's high jump.
Sophomore Sally Elsen had a pair of ninth-place finishes in the hurdle events. She posted a time of 15.43-seconds for a ninth-place effort in the women's 100-meter hurdles. She finished the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.34
Sophomore Hannah Harris was seventh in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 58.69-seconds.
Sophomore Allison Roozeboom placed sixth in the women's shot put with an effort of 12.25-meters (40' 2-1/4"). Roozeboom also finished tenth in the discus throw.
