Corin Tang is named to the All-CCIW Second Team in men's tennis

Wheaton, Ill. -- Prior to tomorrow's start of this year's CCIW Championship, the conference announced its All-CCIW Teams for the sport of men's tennis on Wednesday morning, recognizing the top players from around the league in the 2026 campaign. Wheaton is represented on the All-Conference squads by senior Corin Tang, who was named to the Second Team for his performances this spring. This marks the first All-Conference accolade of Tang's collegiate career.

Tang has played at #1 singles for the Thunder throughout the entirety of this season and currently owns a 5-11 dual match record atop the team's singles lineup. The Michigan native logged victories in Wheaton's conference contests against Elmhurst and Millikin to go along with his match wins against opponents from Wisconsin Lutheran College, Dickinson College, and Concordia University Chicago in non-conference play.

The senior has paired with David Hill and Ryder Ward in a total of 11 doubles matches this spring, earning wins at #3 doubles against Concordia Chicago and Illinois Wesleyan alongside Ward and a victory at the #2 spot with Hill against Wisconsin Lutheran. Tang's veteran leadership and experience proved valuable in securing Wheaton's winning record in conference play and CCIW Tournament berth this year.

The Thunder enter this week's conference tournament as the #4 seed, and Tang and his teammates will open their competition slate at 10:00 AM on Thursday with a quarterfinal bout against fifth-seeded Millikin University.

In addition to today's release of the All-CCIW Teams, the conference confirmed the winners of each program's RESPECT Award. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.

The Wheaton men's tennis team's CCIW RESPECT Award winner for 2026 is junior Andrew Jang.
