Tucson, Arizona – The Wheaton baseball team wrapped up its week-long trip to Arizona with a 15-4 victory against Hamline in seven innings as the Thunder won via run-rule. Today's victory improves Wheaton's win streak to four games to conclude the trip as the Thunder posted a 5-2 record in Arizona. Wheaton returns to the Chicagoland area next Wednesday for a 5:00 p.m. matchup against Concordia-Chicago at Lee Pfund Stadium.
The Thunder defeated Hamline today 15-4 as Wheaton scored 15 runs, on 16 hits, with zero errors, while the Pipers scored four runs, on five hits, with two errors. Thunder starting pitcher
Jonah Moulton worked three innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits, with three strikeouts and five walks. Freshman
Jack Mazurowski (1-0) earned his first career win in 1-2/3 innings or relief. He allowed two earned runs, on two hits, with two strikeouts and three walks.
Jack Lindsay picked up the save in 2-1/3 innings of scoreless relief as he struck out two with one walk.

Tyler Burr continued his strong trip with two doubles as he was 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.
Nathan Hedlund was 2-for-4 with a double as he scored three times.
Hamline started the game with one run to take a 1-0 lead. Wheaton scored three times in the bottom of the first as
Mason Diel drew a bases loaded walk followed by a two-run single by Sean Dmyotrowicz to give the Thunder a 3-1 lead in the opening inning. Wheaton added three more runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 6-1 lead. Burr drove in one run with a sacrifice fly and two runs scored on a double to rightfield by
Charlie Scofield. Hamline scored a run in the top of the third inning to cut Wheaton's lead to 6-2.
Hamline added two runs in the top of the fifth inning to cut the Thunder lead to 6-4.
James Scott drove in a run in the bottom of the fifth inning on a RBI-single to increase the Thunder lead to 7-4. Diel hit a RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth inning and Dmyotrowicz added a RBI-single to increase the Thunder lead to 9-4.
Wheaton secured the victory on the run-rule with six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Scofield and Lynam started the scoring in the inning with back-to-back RBI-singles. Pinch hitter
