Ty Bova's effort in the high jump highlights the effort for Thunder men's track at the 2026 CCIW Indoor Championships

Bloomington, Ill. – The Wheaton Thunder men's track & field team finished seventh at the 2026 CCIW Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.

North Central scored 221.83 points to win the CCIW Indoor Track & Field Championship. Carthage finished second with 123 points, Illinois Wesleyan scored 86 points in third place, Augustana placed fourth with 72.33 points, Carroll recorded 48 points in fifth place, Millikin finished sixth with 46.5 points, Wheaton scored 39 points in seventh place, Elmhurst was eighth with 18.33 points and North Park scored eight points in ninth place. 

SATURDAY RECAP
Sophomore Ty Bova won the men's indoor high jump with an effort of 2.06-meters (6' 9). Bova's effort is tied for seventh in Division III this season.

Cohen ObergCohen Oberg (PICTURED LEFT) scored 4,351 points to place second in the two-day men's heptathlon. Oberg had the top performance of all the heptathlon competitors in the high jump on Friday, scoring 679 points. 

Michael Osielski placed seventh in the 800-meters with a time of 1:59.01, while Matthias Everest was eighth in the men's 3,000-meters in 8:55.45. 

The Thunder men's 4X400-meter relay team of Bradley Lauber, Dan Sanoussi, David Harvin and David Huber placed third in the relay with a time of 3:25.17.

Isaac BledsoeFRIDAY RECAP
Junior Isaac Bledsoe (PICTURED RIGHT) finished second in a 26-man field in the men's long jump on Friday. Bledsoe recorded an effort of 6.90-meters (22' 7-3/4") for his top jump of the day.

Senior Joshua Schuurman finished eighth in the men's pole vault with a height of 3.96-meters (12' 11-3/4") on Friday.
