Wheaton, Ill. - The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its 2025-26 All-Conference Men's Basketball Team on Monday afternoon, with Wheaton's
Soren Richardson earning his second unanimous First Team All-CCIW award. Freshman
Carson Grier received Second Team All-CCIW honors. Additionally, senior
Kyle Neibch was Wheaton's recipient of the CCIW RESPECT Award.
In 25 games this season, Richardson averaged a league-best 21.9 points per game - a mark that ranks 33rd among all Division III men's basketball players. A three-time CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week selection this year, he shot 48.2% (196-407) from the field, 36.1% from three point range (52-144) and converted 84.4% of his chances from the charity stripe. Richardson averaged 4.1 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game.
In Wheaton's 16 CCIW contests this season, Richardson led the league in scoring with 23 points per game. He shot 47.1% (130-276) from the field, including 33.7% (34-101) from three-point range. Richardson averaged 4.1 rebounds per game, with 2.6 assists per game against league opponents. His 88.1% rate from the line ranked second in the CCIW and his time on the floor, averaging 36.1 minutes per game was tied for first in the conference. Richardson's game against Elmhurst where he dropped 36 points was the highest conference point total of the season for anyone in the CCIW and his field goals beyond the arc in that game were his most this season. His 33 points against Milikin is also tied for the fifth-highest single game point total of the season in conference play.
Carson Grier (PICTURED LEFT) averaged 14 points per game in his full debut season along with his 6.8 rebounds per game. Grier totaled 40 steals this season along with 14 blocks, both of which were tied for a team lead. He shot 59.4% from the field (149-251), an efficiency which ranked 30th in the nation. Along with that, he shot 50% from three (13-26) the highest percentage in conference, should he have qualified.
In conference play, Grier averaged 13.1 points per game, a mark that ranked 16th in the conference. His 57.7% (90-156) shooting was third in the conference and his 7.1 rebounds per game ranked sixth in the CCIW. The freshman had three individual games of 10 or more rebounds, the fourth most of any player in the conference. Beyond his work on the glass, Grier's efforts on defense led to him averaging 1.81 steals per game, a mark which is tied for the conference lead. His effort against Elmhurst was his season-high in points as he scored 21 points on an efficient 81.8% (9-11) field goals percentage, and also grabbing eight rebounds. Grier's 14-rebound game against Carroll was the third-highest single game conference total this season as well.

The CCIW also announced the men's basketball winners for each team of the RESPECT Award. Senior
Kyle Neibch (PICTURED RIGHT) was
Wheaton's honoree of the RESPECT Award. At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
