Zeke Harris has been named a CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in football for his effort in Wheaton's 33-6 victory against North Park last Saturday. This is the fourth weekly accolade from the conference for the Thunder this season.
Seth Kortenhoeven has won the CCIW Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week twice and
Mark Forcucci has picked up the offensive award once.
Harris led the Wheaton against North Park University, totaling a team-high 11 tackles with six solo stops and five assisted tackles. The All-American linebacker also recorded a sack for a loss of four yards as the Thunder held North Park to 148 total yards of offense, including just 20 rushing yards on the day.
Second-ranked Wheaton hosts travels to top-ranked North Central on Saturday for the annual "Battle for the Little Brass Bell". To alleviate congestion for fans entering Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, North Central College has given the Wheaton Athletics Department 1,000 tickets for presale.Tickets for the game are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. There will be a cap of 10 tickets per customer. Tickets will be available in the Wheaton Athletics offices on October 5 from 12-2 PM; on October 6 & 8 from 10 AM-2 PM; and October 7 & 9 from 10 AM-3 PM. Please be advised that tickets will still be available on gameday at the Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium ticket windows. The presale is an effort to make entering the stadium easier for fans and game staff and for fans' convenience.
