Warrenville, Ill. – The Wheaton cross country programs hosted the 2025 Gil Dodds Invitational on Saturday morning at St. James Farm Forest Preserve. The Wheaton men's team finished third in the 20-team field, while the Wheaton women placed fifth among 18 teams.
The University of Chicago men's team, ranked 19
th in Division III this week, finished first with 20 points. Carthage scored 95 points in second place, Wheaton was third with 114 points, Kalamazoo scored 115 points in fourth place and Millikin rounded out the top-five with 130 points. North Central scored 167 points in sixth place, Wabash finished seventh with 222 points, DePauw recorded 225 points in eighth place, Carroll scored 276 points in ninth place and Cornell (Iowa) finished 10
th with 308 points.
Carthage's Jacob Curulewski finished first on the 8K course with a time of 24:41.00 with the top performance in the 251-man field. UChicago placed runners in spots two-through-nine as Liam Eifert placed second with a time of 24:58.70 and Sanju Patel was third in 25:11.90.
Josh Steiner was the top performer for the Wheaton men's program as he finished 20
th with a time of 26:25.10.
Joshua Cross placed 22
nd in 26:28.30, while teammate Matthais Everest was 23
rd in 26:32.20.
Jude Hubbard finished 39
th in 27:06.40, while
Braedon Veurink was 55
th in 27:28.50.
Sheldon Powell posted a time of 27:57.00 to finish 74
th, and senior
Luke Wertz was 75
th with an effort of 27:57.00,
