Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College freshman Ty Bova of the Thunder men's track & field team will represent the Thunder men's track and field program at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Bova has been selected to participate in the men's men's high jump, an event that will begin on Friday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. (EST). He will be competing in a field of 22 qualifiers and will be one of four freshmen in the field.

Bova qualified for Nationals with a leap of 2.06-meters (6' 9") on Saturday, April 12 at the Wheaton Invitational. Bova's qualifying effort is the second-best performance in program history in the men's high jump, just behind Collin Gray's school-record leap of 6' 9-3/4" in 2018. Bova's mark at the Wheaton Invitational is tied for the 12th-best leap in the men's high jump this spring.

The Wheaton newcomer is the first member of the Thunder men's track and field team to earn a selection to the Division III Outdoor T&F Championships in the high jump since Gray, a two-time All-American, competed at the Division III Championships as a senior in 2018.
