Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton track and field teams hosted the 2025 Wheaton Invitational on Saturday under clear skies with mild temperatures.
Freshman
Ty Bova (PICTURED ABOVE) won the men's high jump with a leap of 6' 9" (2.06-meters) that is the second-best effort in the high jump in school history, ranking just behind Collin Gray's record of 6' 9-3/4" that was set in 2018. Additionally, Bova's effort today is tied for the fourth-best effort in the high jump this year in Division III.

Senior
Sam Elsen won the men's steeplechase with a time of 9:19.27. He was just ahead of teammate
Sheldon Powell's time of 9:21.32 in second place. Both times rank among the top-25 in Division III this year.
Braedon Veurink finished fourth in the event with a time of 9:33.41, and
Alden Kruse was fifth in 9:58.43.
Joshua Schuurman cleared a height of 12' 7-1/2" (3.85-meters) in the men's pole vault for a fourth-place finish. Senior
Jaden Pankau finished eighth in the men's discus throw with a toss of 129' 7" (39.49-meters). Sophomore Ben Maher placed eighth in the men's javelin throw with an effort of 161' 6" (49.23-meters).
Wheaton remains home for the next meet as the program hosts the Don Church Twilight Meet on Thursday.
