Hanover Park, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team hosted Concordia University (Wis.) on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup. The Falcons (2-3) edged the Thunder 4-3 in the meeting. Wheaton is now 1-4 on the 2025 campaign.
The Falcons won two of the three doubles matches to gain the first point of the match. Wheaton's doubles win came from the No. 3 doubles team of
Andrew Winters and
Evan Walther as they earned a 6-4 victory against the CUW tandem of Ryan Bilan and Dylan Nadolski.Â
Walther won a 7-6 (9-7), 6-1 victory against Concordia's Hayden Latus in their matchup at No. 2 singles. Wheaton's
Andrew Jang was a 6-4, 6-4 victor at No. 3 singles against Bilan. Winters defeated Concordia's Joshua Klement 6-2, 6-1 in their contest at No. 5 singles.
The Thunder men's tennis team returns to Hanover Park next Saturday to host Roosevelt University, a NCAA Division II program.
