Waverly, Iowa. – The Wheaton women's cross country team competed at the 2025 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday. The Thunder women's program finished sixth in the 30-team field.
WashU finished first on the 6K course on Saturday with 42 points. UChicago scored 42 points in second place, the host Knights of Wartburg College finished third with 91 points, Central College (Iowa) was fourth with 136 points and Grinnell scored 148 points in fifth place. Wheaton finished sixth with 213 points, Loras scored 222 points in seventh, Cornell (Iowa) was eighth with 248 points, Elmhurst finished ninth with 281 points and Aurora rounded out the top-10 with 313 points.
WashU's Lucinda Laughlin finished first in the 219-woman field with a time of 21:29.7, and she was followed by her WashU teammate Jillian Heth in 21:30.8. UChicago's Katja Dunayevich was third in 21:40.2 and Loras' Keelee Leitzen was fourth in 21:46.1. UChicago's Estelle Snider rounded out the top-five with an effort of 21:48.5.

Louisa Brorson was the top performer for the Thunder with a time of 23:02.4 in 29
th place. She earns All-Midwest Region honors by finishing in the top-35 at the Regional. Brorson is in a position to possibly earn a selection to next Saturday's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Those announcements will be made on Sunday night.

Elizabeth LaBrin was just behind her with a time of 23:28.0 in 39
