Wheaton, Ill. -- The Thunder volleyball program will host a CCIW Tournament match for the first time since 2021 on Tuesday night, as Wheaton welcomes Carroll University to King Arena for a 7 PM quarterfinal contest. The Thunder posted a record of 4-4 in CCIW play this season and secured the #4 seed in this year's conference tournament, while the Pioneers finished 3-5 in league action and enter the competition as the fifth seed thanks to their tiebreaker over Augustana, North Central, and Elmhurst. The winner of tonight's first round battle will advance to Thursday's semifinal round to face top-seeded Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.
The cost of admission for all CCIW Women's Volleyball Championship matches is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors (65 or older), students under the age of 18, and children ages six and above. Children under the age of six get in free of charge, as do current students of CCIW institutions upon presentation of a current student ID.
No season passes will be accepted at tournament matches. Fans can purchase tickets via cash or card upon entry to the Chrouser Sports Complex and King Arena.
There will be a free live stream of Tuesday's quarterfinal contest on both the Wheaton Thunder YouTube channel and the CCIW Network, and live statistics for the match can be accessed through the Wheaton Athletics website.
