Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton senior setter Lacey Higgins has been named a CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in volleyball. Higgins has been named the conference's "Setter of the Week" for the third time in her career, also garnering the honor on November 4, 2024 and October 2, 2023.  She is the second Thunder volleyball player to pick up a weekly award from the conference this season, joining libero Grace Autry who picked up the "Defensive Player of the Week" award on September 29.

Higgins averaged 11.0 assists per set last Tuesday in Wheaton's 3-1 win against North Central as she tallied a match-high 44 assists. She added 11 digs in the home win against the Cardinals. She also had two kills and two total blocks in the win.
