Jordan Benford earns her first career All-CCIW award for her stellar senior campaign

Jordan Benford and Ashton Major earn All-CCIW honors in volleyball

Wheaton, Ill. – A pair of Wheaton volleyball players earned All-CCIW recognition from the conference on Monday when the league's season-ending awards were announced. Outside hitter Jordan Benford was honored with her first career All-CCIW award for her outstanding senior campaign. Graduate student Ashton Major was named to the All-CCIW Second Team in her first All-CCIW recognition. Junior Paris Griffin was named Wheaton's recipient of the CCIW's RESPECT Award. 

Benford earned First Team All-CCIW accolades for her outstanding 2025 campaign, becoming the first Thunder volleyball player since 2021 to garner First Team recognition. She led Wheaton with an average of 3.06 kills per set this season in posting a .217 attack percentage. Benford totaled 334 kills this season, a team high. She also contributed three digs per set with a total of 328 digs for the season. In CCIW play, she averaged 3.25 kills per set, fifth in the conference. She also totaled 118 points, third in conference, good for 3.69 per set which was fifth in conference.

Ashton MajorBenford has 816 kills, 942.5 points and 2.08 kills per set in her outstanding career.

Ashton Major (PICTURED LEFT) earned Second Team All-CCIW accolades for a fantastic season. For the year, her .357 hitting percentage led all members of the conference. In conference play, she was tied for second on the team in total blocks with 12. For the season, Major recorded 51 total blocks on 38 assists and 13 solo blocks. She also recorded 2.07 kills per set. For her career, Major has 204 blocks, a .287 hitting percentage, on 1.80 kills per set.

Paris GriffinGriffin (PICTURED RIGHT) was named Wheaton's honoree of the CCIW's RESPECT Award. At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program recognizes one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
