The Thunder women's cross country team competes at Augustana

Rock Island, Ill. – The Wheaton cross country teams competed at Augustana's Interregional Invitational on Saturday. The Wheaton women's cross country team placed 29thth in the 40-team field.

RPI's Jules Bleskoski finished first in the 349-woman field, with a time of 20:47.4. Trine's Sidney Swick was second in 21:42.0, while Alison Mueller-Hickler of Colorado College was third in 21:43.3. Lucinda Laughlin of WashU ran the course in 21:47.2 in fourth place and Katja Dunayevich of UChicago  was fifth in 21:47.8.   

Wheaton senior Elizabeth LaBrin posted a time of 23:22.3 on the 6,000-meter course for Wheaton's highest finish in 95th place. Senior Louisa Brorson was 97th for the Thunder with a time of 23:23.2. Sophomore Emmarie Marino posted a time of 24:26.9 in 206th place, while senior Lily Lebo was 225th in 24:41.9. Laura Prothero finished in 230th in 24:46.5, while Clodagh O'Bryant was 254th in 25:02.8, and Tavinya Taylor was 297th with an effort of 25:41.5  

The Thunder cross country teams return to Rock Island and Saukie Golf Course for the third-consecutive event on November 1 when Augustana hosts the 2025 CCIW Cross Country Championships.
