Kenosha, Wis. - The Thunder wrestling team participated at the 2025 CCIW Duals Meet on Saturday at Carthage College as Wheaton competed in three dual matches against league foes. The Thunder closed the day with a
40-12 victory against Illinois Wesleyan. In the second match of the day for the Thunder,
Aurora topped Wheaton 44-6 and the event began for the Thunder with a
39-11 loss to MSOE.
In the victory against Illinois Wesleyan,
Matthew Au (125-pounds) and Zeke Harris (197-pounds) each earned a win by fall.
Sean King won a 13-3 major decision at 184-pounds.
Deonta Giles (157-pounds) and
Cael Palmer (165-pounds) each won their match against Titan opponents in a decision.
Cooper Chapman (133-pounds),
Aidan Laird (149-pounds) and
Luke Feddeler (285-pounds) each won their respective match by forfeit.
In the match against Aurora, Wheaton's lone victory went to Harris at 197-pounds as he won by forfeit.
In today's opener against MSOE the Thunder won a pair of matches. Harris earned a win with a 16-1 technical fall in his match at 197-pounds. Feddeler won his match at 285-pounds by forfeit.Â
The Thunder wrestling team returns to action next weekend as it hosts the Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational featuring 33 NCAA Division III teams from around the country. Wrestling begins on Friday in King Arena at 11:00 a.m.
