Kenosha, Wis. – The Wheaton cross country teams traveled to Wisconsin on Saturday to compete at UW-Parkside's Lucian Rosa Invite hosted at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha. The Wheaton men's team placed fifth out of 11 teams, while the Wheaton women's cross country team finished fifth in a 14-team field.
The four teams ahead of Wheaton in the men's team standings today were NCAA Division II teams. University of Colorado-Colorado Springs scored 27 points in first place, followed by Hillsdale in second place with 40 points. UW-Parkside finished third with 72 points, Winona State scored 100 points in fourth place and Wheaton rounded out the top-five with 162 points.
Jagger Zlotoff of UC-Colorado Springs was the top performer on the 8K course with a time of 25:13.50. His teammate, Enzo Knapp finished second in 25:28.10, followed by Hillsdale's Gabriel Phillips in third place with an effort of 25:30.30.

Sheldon Powell was the top Wheaton performer with a time of 27:08.80 in 25
th place.
Luke Wertz placed 36
th in 27:35.10, followed by
Joshua Cross' time of 27:41.30 in 40
th place.
Braedon Veurink recorded a time of 27:54.10 in 44
th place, and
Josh Steiner was 49
th in 28:14.80.
Alden Kruse posted a time of 28:26.90 in 50
th place,
Stephen Hansen finished 51
st in 28:28.80, followed by
Luke Bothun's time of 28:31.00 in 52
nd place.
The Thunder cross country teams are off until October 19 when the teams travel to Salem, Wisconsin to compete in UW-LaCrosse's "Jim Drews Invite".
