Elmhurst, Ill. – The Wheaton track and field teams competed at the Elmhurst Twilight Invitational on Thursday. The Thunder women's program placed third in the 17-team field and the Wheaton men were fourth out of 19 teams.
North Central finished first in the women's team standings with 132 points, followed by Elmhurst in second place with 117 points, Wheaton placed third with 87 points, Olivet Nazarene scored 86 points in fourth place, and Harper College rounded out the top-five with 54 points.
Natalie Conrad won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.59, while
Holly Brown was second with 1:11:34. Freshman
Heidi Krekelberg posted a time of 12.38-seconds to place third in the 100-meter dash.
Elizabeth LaBrin won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:26.07, while
Elena Everest was second in 12:52.27. Senior
Michaela Kustra posted a time of 11:17.16 to place third in the 3,000-meters. Freshman
Sophia Huber was fourth in the women's 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:55.71, while fellow freshman
Abby Rickard was fifth in 4:57.56.

Grace Crowder recorded a height of 1.58-meters in the women's high jump to place second.
Grace Cleveland finished fifth in the women's triple jump with a leap of 9.97-meters.
Hannah Tompkins placed fifth in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 32.17-meters.
The Thunder track and field teams travel to Rock Island next weekend for the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
