Whitewater, Wis. – The Wheaton women's basketball team traveled to eighth-ranked UW-Whitewater on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup against the Warhawks. UW-Whitewater (7-1) defeated the Thunder 65-58 in the meeting.
Tonight's matchup was the final game of six-consecutive road contests for the Thunder. Wheaton returns home on Saturday night for a 5:00 p.m. CCIW tipoff against North Park in King Arena.
Kate Oliver led Wheaton in tonight's contest at UW-Whitewater as she scored 19 points with eight rebounds and three assists.
Annika Richardson tallied 15 points off the Thunder bench with three assists, and four steals.
Lily Caddow scored nine points and added two steals.

Jenna Hunter each scored six points.
Wheaton posted a 39.6% (19-of-48) field goal percentage, including 40% (6-for-15) from three-point range. The Warhawks shot 37.7% (20-of-53) from the field, including 23.8% (5-of-21) behind the arc. The Thunder had a strong effort at the free throw line, shooting 87.5% (14-of-16), while the Warhawks shot 80% (20-for-25) at the charity stripe. UW-Whitewater out-rebounded the Thunder 36-29, including a 15-9 advantage on the offensive glass.
Kacie Carollo led UW-Whitewater with 33 points and 10 rebounds to record a 'double-double'. She added three assists, three steals and three blocked shots. Katie Hildebrandt added 13 points and five rebounds for the hosts.
The Warhawks scored the first six points of the game and led by as many as nine points in the first quarter. The hosts' nine-point bulge was a 20-11 UW-Whitewater lead with 26-seconds left in the opening quarter. However, Richardson drained a three-pointer with 12-seconds left as she cut UW-Whitewater's lead to 20-14 at the end of the opening quarter.
The Warhawks maintained a lead throughout the second quarter. The hosts led by seven points 36-29 at the halftime intermission. Richardson led the Thunder with nine points in the first half, adding two steals. Oliver scored seven points in the first 20 minutes. Carollo scored 18 first-half points, and she grabbed five rebounds.
The Warhawks led 42-33 with 6:00 left in the third quarter. Oliver made a layup with 5:49 left in the third to start a 7-0 run for the guests. Richardson followed with a three-pointer and Kizer scored a basket to conclude the run as her field goal trimmed the hosts' lead to 42-40 with 4:55 remaining in the third quarter. The Warhawks led 47-42 at the conclusion of the third quarter.
Carollo made a pair of free throws with 5:04 left in the game to extend the Warhawks' lead to 55-48. Richardson made a three-pointer to ignite an 8-1 Thunder run that tied the game at 56-56 with 1:43 remaining in the fourth quarter. Katie Hildebrandt of UW-Whitewater made a trey with 1:22 left in the game to give her team the lead for good. Oliver followed the three-pointer with a basket that cut the hosts' lead to 59-58 with 53-seconds remaining in the contest. The Warhawks managed to go 4-for-4 at the free throw line in the final 15-seconds of the game in earning the 65-58 win.
Olliver scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds in the second half to lead the way for Wheaton. Carollo scored 15 points with five rebounds and three assists in the second half.
