Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton wrestling team traveled to nearby Elmhurst University in a CCIW dual match on Thursday evening. The Bluejays defeated the Thunder 38-12 in the conference matchup.

Cale Coppess had an impressive win for the Thunder in his matchup at 141-pounds against Elmhurst's Zach Carter. Coppess won the match by fall at the 3:40 mark of their match. Wheaton's other victory tonight went to Taggart Kazmierczk who earned a victory by forfeit at 174-pounds.
Wheaton returns to action next Friday with a tri-match in Mequon, Wisconsin. The Thunder will face Carthage College and Concordia (Wis.) in a pair of CCIW dual mathes.
