Wheaton men's soccer team to host CCIW Tournament semifinal match on Wednesday

Wheaton, Ill. -- The Wheaton men's soccer team clinched a CCIW regular season title last Wednesday night and therefore secured the #1 seed for the 2024 CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament. The Thunder have earned the right to host a conference tournament semifinal at Joe Bean Stadium, and this match will be played at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6th. Wheaton will take on the fifth-seeded North Central College Cardinals for the second match in a row after facing NCC in Naperville in last week's regular season finale. North Central advanced from its quarterfinal match against fourth-seeded Millikin University on Saturday via a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw over regulation and overtime.

The cost of admission to all CCIW Tournament matches is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors 65 years old and above, grade school students, and children above the age of five. Kids ages five and under are allowed in free of charge, as are current students of CCIW institutions upon presentation of a current student ID. No season passes will be accepted at tournament matches.

Wednesday's match will be live streamed on the Wheaton Thunder Sports Network and live statistics will also be provided.
