Rock Island, Ill. & La Crosse, Wis. – The Wheaton women's cross country team competed at a pair of competitions on Saturday. Wheaton had a group at Augustana's Interregional Invitational in Rock Island and another group traveled to UW-La Crosse's Tori Neubauer Invitational. Wheaton placed 13
th at Augustana and 20
th at UW-La Crosse.
Colorado College finished first at Augustana's "Interregional Invitational" with 56 points to place first in the 35-team field. WashU placed second with 106 points, followed by UChicago in third with 138 points, UW-Stout was fourth with 175 points, Calvin scored 185 points in fifth place. DePauw University tallied 250 points in sixth place, Trine was seventh with 281 points, Wartburg scored 293 points in eighth, UW-Eau Claire was ninth with 293 points and UW-Whitewater rounded out the top-10 with 295 points. Ohio Wesleyan tallied 319 points in 11
th place, Central College scored 337 points in 12
th place, Wheaton scored 401 points in 13
th place,
Lawrence finished 14
th with 428 points and Trinity (Texas) placed 15
th with 477 points.
Colorado College's Isabel Olson finished first in the 355-woman field with a time of 21:07.1 on the 6K course. Kalamazoo's Paige Anderson placed second with an effort of 21:17.0, while Aurora's Deyanneira Colon Maldonado posted a time of 21:18.0 in third place.

Caroline Stetina was the top performer for the Thunder with a time of 22:47.9 in 66
th place. She was closely followed by teammate
Louisa Brorson in 69
th place with a time of 22:49.2.
Sophia Huber placed 86
th in 22:59.8, and
Elizabeth LaBrin finished 95
th in 23:06.6. Senior
Natalie Conrad posted a time of 23:18.8 in 105
th place and Abby Rickard finished 125

Sarah Quintanilla was 186

The Thunder women placed 20
th at the Jim Drews Invitational. UW-La Crosse placed first at its own meet with 21 points, followed by South Dakota State in second place with 113 points, Paradise Valley scored 125 points in third place, Gustavus Adolphus was fourth with 137 points, and Bethel rounded out the top-five with 174 points.
Julia Snider was Wheaton's top performer at UW-La Crosse with a time of 25:51.0 to place 123
rd in the 237-woman field.
Raegan Kaeb finished 145
th in 26:23.9, and
Abby Kauffman was 169
th in 27:14.8.
Alexis Soukup finished 174
th in 27:24, followed by
Hannah Jones in 27:97.7 to place 175
th.
Tavinya Taylor posted a time of 27:55.7 in 185
th place,
Elise Book was 192
nd in 28:23.0 and
Abby Sanderson was 194
th in 28:34.2.
The Thunder will return to action November 2 at the 2024 CCIW Championships at St. James Farm Forest Preserve.
