Kenosha, Wis. – The Wheaton volleyball team faced Carthage College (10-6, 2-0 CCIW) on Wednesday night in a CCIW matchup on the road. The Firebirds defeated the Thunder, 3-0 as the hosts one each of the three sets by identical scores of 25-22.

Wheaton (6-6, 0-2 CCIW) hosts Franklin College on Friday at 6:00 p.m. Friday's match against the Grizzlies in King Arena will be part of Wheaton's Homecoming Weekend activities.

In tonight's contest at Carthage, four Thunder players tallied seven kills apiece. Jordan Benford, Ashton Major, Caroline Capps and Emerson Traweek each had seven kills for Wheaton.
