Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team (1-1) lost a tough matchup at home on Saturday afternoon against Lake Forest College, 5-4.

The Foresters led 2-1 after the completion of doubles play on Saturday. The No. 2 doubles team of Janet Kondo and Audrey Vick earned an 8-6 victory against the LFC tandem of Rebecca Daskal and Sara Lopez.

Madeline Gentry was a 6-0, 6-2 victor at No. 1 singles against Margaret Bugnacki. Alexandra Wachs (PICTURED ABOVE) defeated Lopez 6-4, 6-0 in their matchup at No. 3 singles. Delaney Canning was a 6-3, 6-1 winner against Daskal at No. 6 singles.

The Thunder are off until Sept. 15 when the squad opens conference play at home against Carroll University with a 5:00 p.m. match against the Pioneers.
