Wheaton, Ill. -  Mateo Jesch of the Thunder football team has each been named a CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts in Wheaton's victory at Illinois Wesleyan last Saturday in the CCIW opener.

Jesch made both of his field goal attempts on Saturday in Bloomington, was 5-for-5 on PAT attempts and averaged 37.2 yards per punt, with two of his four punts inside the 20-yard line. Jesch had a pair of second quarter field goals in Saturday's win. He made a 34-yard field goal early in the second quarter to give Wheaton a 17-3 lead. He converted a 20-yard field goal in the closing seconds of the first half to send the Thunder to the locker room leading 26-10 at halftime.

The Thunder host Augustana next Saturday for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff at McCully Stadium.
