Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton football team has earned recognition from a national college football preseason publication. The Thunder football program is ranked 11th in the 2023 Lindy's Sports college football preseason magazine. Wheaton earns the rankings following a 2022 season in which the program posted an 8-3 record and earned selection to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the 13th time in program history and the 12th time since 2002.

Junior tight end Ben Juska was selected to Lindy's preseason 2023 All-Division III Team. Juska was a 2022 Associated Press (AP) Division III All-American at tight end with a breakout performance last season. He caught 24 passes last season, including five for touchdowns, accumulating 331 receiving yards.

Lindy's listed Wheaton's September 30 Homecoming Game against North Central as one of five games to watch in Division III in the 2023 season.

The Thunder open the 2023 season at home against UW-Oshkosh in a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against the Titans at McCully Stadium on September 9.
