Orlando, Fla. - The Wheaton men's tennis team played its fourth and final match in its Spring Break trip to Florida on Thursday afternoon. The Thunder defeated Trine University 8-1 to close out the trip.
Wheaton swept doubles action today.
Jack Booker and
Cody Ching earned an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles as they defeated Andrew Spirrison and Andrew Streit.
Joey Geisz and
Jacob Williams teamed for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles against Cole Goodman and Drew Nixon. The No. 3 doubles team of
Tim Steiner and
Jack Wenzel defeated Trine's Elijah Schilthuis amd Nicholas Jen, 8-4.Â
Booker earned a 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) victory at No. 1 singles against Spirrison. Williams was a 6-2, 6-1 victor at No. 3 singles against Schilthuis. Wenzel defeated Streit 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles. Geisz picke up a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles versus Dixon.
Corin Tang was a winner at No. 6 singles against Caleb Morris.
Wheaton is off until March 24 when the Thunder begin CCIW play with a conference match at home against Carroll.  Â
