Wheaton, Ill.- Thunder men's basketball standout Tyson Cruickshank, has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the third time this season. Cruickshank is the third Wheaton men's basketball player to receive this award three times, joining Joel Kolmodin (five times) and Aston Francis (four times). Additionally, Cruickshank is the first Thunder player to earn the award in back-to-back weeks, which he did on Nov. 29, 2022 and Dec. 6, 2022.

On Monday afternoon, Cruickshank was also named the CCIW Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. He has now picked up the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week award five times in his career for the Thunder.

Cruickshank's selection to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on Tuesday came following a Thunder home victory Saturday night versus Milikin and a road win at Augustana last Wednesday. The Thunder defeated Augustana 74-72 in Rock Island, and topped Milikin 84-73. Cruickshank scored 20 points, with four rebounds, and four assists in the Augustana matchup. Versus Milikin, Cruickshank tallied a double-double, just one rebound shy of his first career triple double, as he scored 19 points, with 11 assists, and nine rebounds.

Cruickshank is second in the CCIW in scoring (19.4 PPG), first in assists per game (5.2 APG) and first in three-pointers made per game (3.41 3FGPG).

Cruickshank and the eighth-ranked Thunder will host North Central this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in King Arena.
