Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton College football team (9-1) will host Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) for a First Round Game of the 2023 NCAA Division III Playoffs on Saturday, November 18. The Thunder will host the Lions (9-1) in a noon kickoff. The winner of next Saturday's Wheaton-Mount St. Joseph game will advance to face the winner of another first round game between UW-Whitewater and Bethel on November 25.
The Thunder earned an at-large bid to the to the 2023 NCAA Division III Playoffs. Wheaton is making its 14
th overall appearance in the Division III Playoffs. The program has compiled a 17-13 all-time record in the postseason.
Saturday's matchup will be the third meeting on the gridiron between Wheaton and MSJ, all occurring in the postseason. The Lions earned an automatic bid to the postseason this season, winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC)
Admission for Saturday's game is $8 for adults, $4 for students; and children under three are admitted for free. As a NCAA Championship event no free passes will be accepted. Tickets will be available at the gate on Saturday (Cash Only).
